Melkor Ashen I (4782 a. Re. – 4861 a. Re.), known infamously as the Black Phoenix, was the 45th Emperor of the Ashen Empire. Inheriting the throne after the assassination of Alaro IX, Melkor's reign was consumed by the war that bore his epitaph between his brother Ivran and his cousin Azelian. Due to the devastation of his reign, the rumors of dread magic, and the near extermination of the Ashen imperial bloodline, Melkor is considered one of the worst Emperors in history.
